Well family and friends, the time has finally come. After almost 4 years of dating my very best friend, he has decided to make me his little wife. I couldn't be more excited and I have already completed a lot of stuff off my wedding to do list. Adam and I will become husband and wife on November 3rd at The Westin Harbour Island. Yay! Thanks Mom and Dad!! :-)
I am so grateful for my parents and Adam's parents. If it weren't for them Adam and I would be going to the courthouse and we were honestly considering staying in one of my parents vacation rentals as a honeymoon. But now, thanks to Steve and Becky, will be going to the Bahamas baby!
Anyway, back to the engagement. Adam and I were in Canada for Christmas and on Christmas Eve I was going to bed early and Adam went into my bedroom (his childhood bedroom) to kiss me goodnight. He had me listen to a song that he had written and recorded for me. It was the most beautiful song I have ever heard in my life. As I looked up with tears streaming down my face, he reached into the night stand that was next to his bed and pulled out a black box. He got down on one knee at the side of his bed and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! He then had me watch a video of the making of my song. It was really sweet, but I couldn't stop looking at the rock on my finger! After we watched the video, we went out and told his family. More tears were had, and then I called my parents and Katie. I couldn't sleep that night because I was way too excited! I was up with Becky at like 6am the next morning peeling potatoes because I couldn't sleep! Haha
Now that we are back to reality, everything is sinking in. I have so much stuff to do! It's pretty stressful, but I'm trying to take it one day at a time and keep myself organized.
I'll keep this blog updated on my journey to becoming Mrs. Courson. Wow, I can't believe I'm going to be a MRS. Crazy.
