My Canadian Vacay

Well I made it back to the good ole' US of A in one piece. Surprisingly, since I thought I was going to have a severe panic attack on the plane. But lucky me it only turned out to be a medium panic attack! Ugh, I hate flying and it's progressively getting worse. And then yesterday at lunch I was asking my boss all these airplane questions because he used to be pilot. It went something like this...

Me: Can airplanes fall from the sky?
Boss Man: Definitely.
Me: Can the engine just shut off and we all die?
Boss Man: Of course. It happens all the time, but there are backup engines.

And now I'm never flying again. Now on to my WONDERFUL trip to Canada!

The first night of our trip Kat was throwing a luau for Kevin's in-laws for their wedding anniversary. She did a great job and everyone had a great time. And not to mention I was wearing a FAB dress! ;-)

The next night Steve and Becky took Adam and I up the CN tower in Toronto. It used to be the tallest building in the world, and it sure was the tallest building I have ever been up. We had dinner at the top of the tower in a restaurant that spins. It was an amazing experirnce and definitely one I will never forget. After dinner we went to the observation deck and I layed on the glass floor and had Steve take a picture! It is definitely a plus to have a future father-in-law that is a photographer!

The following day was very relaxing. Adam went and hung out with his buddies while Becky and I watched the Sound of Music. I actually liked it, and I didn't think I would. The next morning Becky, Kat, Kat's friend Carrie and I went to the spa and got body wraps. It was amazing and very relaxing. It's what I needed after my crazy month at work! After the spa we went up to Waterloo to visit Adam's grandparent and I crushed some poutine at Swiss Chalet. My American friends won't know what that is but trust me it's the best food I have ever eaten! It consists of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds. So fattening, yet so delicious!

The last day of our trip we stopped by Niagra Falls on the way to the airport. I had been there once before but it was so snowy and cold that we couldn't stay out there very long. It was nice to see the Falls on a warm summer day! Oh and btw the weather was so perfect there I was dreading coming back to the hot Florida heat!

Well short week at work for me! I'll be packing all weekend for my move next weekend. I can't wait! Ta-Ta for now!

Starting A New Chapter

Hi friends! Well it's the beginning of August and things are about to get BUSY! Well things are always busy, but busier than usual. I will get to that in a sec., but first I want to tell you all how much I enjoyed this past weekend!

Many moons ago Adam and I introduced one of my girlfriends, Tiffany, to one of Adam's guy friends, Conrad. They tied the knot this past weekend and I couldn't be more happy for them! It was beautiful, they looked beautiful, everything was pretty perfect. And on top of that my BFF Brandi Craven came down with her awesome fiance, Bryan. I call Bryan Adam's new BFF because they definitely hit it off! We had so much fun hanging out with those two and I desperately want them to move down to Florida. Hopefully they will one day soon because I think they would make the best couple's friends we could ever hope for.

So I'm sitting here full of excitement because I'm going on vacation in 2 days! Adam and I are flying up to Canada to visit him family. There is a bunch of FUN stuff planned for this trip. First we will be going to a huge luau party, and then we will be having dinner on top of the CN tower in Toronto, and then the girls will be headed to the spa where I have a seaweed wrap waiting for me. Yay!
In other exciting news, I put a deposit down on a condo! It's on Dale Mabry literally 2 minutes from my work, so that means I get to sleep in an extra 10 minutes or so! Haha. But I'm excited to be living fully on my own and pretending to be an adult, but I am also sad that I won't be living with my BFF anymore. But fun times were had, and it's time for Adam and I to have a little bit more privacy.

Well that's about all for now. Things at work are going great and I wish I could write about them more, but we all know that's probably not ideal for the industry I am in. But it looks like REALLY good things might be just around the corner!

Tootles for now! The next blog will probably consist of vacation pics and pics of my new crib, so stay tuned!

Im Backkkk!!

Hello, dear followers, and future me. I took a little hiatus, but I'm back and ready to get into the down and dirty of what we've been up to lately.

Hmm where do I begin..

Well Adam and I had a tiny bit of a hiccup, but now we are back and better than ever. And I cannot wait for what lies ahead of us.

Speaking of relationships, my friends have been growing up faster than I can keep up. My dear BFF Brandi had the cutest baby boy in the world named Bryson. I haven't met him yet, but we have been texting and I get to see all the cute pics on facebook. She seems sooo happy! And I am so so happy for her!

My cousin Shawn and Chrissy just got married, and their wedding was AWESOME. I loved having my entire family together. We got a ton of family photos which we haven't done in quite some time. Here are a few..

Tiff's big day is coming up in a little over a month. I can't wait for her wedding! Not only do I get to see Brandi and meet her fiance, but I love when all of my girlfriends are together. And BONUS, Adam is friends with Tiff's fiance and Heather's boyfriend, so I won't have to do too much entertaining. ;-)

I'm looking forward to Adam and I's vacation to Canada in August. Kat is throwing a HUGE luau for her mother-in-law, Jude, so I am really looking forward to that. Also, Becky, Kat, and I will be hitting up our favorite spa, and Becky got me a seaweed wrap for my birthday. It's going to be magical.

And in other big news, I'll be moving in the beginning of September to a 1 bedroom apartment. This will be the last time I live by myself (according to the plan) so I need to live it up! I'm thinking about renting a place close to Bayshore, or the Hyde Park area. It's soooo expensive over here, so hopefully I can find something under 1k. Wish me luck!

Weekend recap!

This past weekend we celebrated Father's Day and Tony and I split the cost of a Kindle for our dad. He seems to love it. It beats him reading books on his cell phone! Which he has been doing lately.

Adam and I also went to Kat and Kevin's to cook them dinner and repay them for all the delicious meals we are always fed. Adam is becoming quite the chef. He made his own ravioli from scratch! They were filled with spinach, ricotta cheese, and pine nuts. He also made chicken cordon bleu which was super good!

Next weekend I think we are heading to Orlando with Chris. I'm really looking forward to it since we haven't been in quite some time.

Hopefully it won't take me a couple months to blog again. I need to get back into this!

Until we meet again..

Catch-Up Post

I've been lazy and neglecting this blog so here is my catch-up post for the last month or so...

Things are going pretty standard in the life of Adam and Christina. We both just had our birthdays a couple weeks ago and to celebrate we went to Sea World. It was a blast! We got the "play for a day come back all year" pass so we should be able to go a few more times before the year is up.

It seems like it's hard to find some free time lately! Must be all the wedding stuff. Just this week alone I have 2 bachelorette parties and a wedding to attend. And then the following weekend I have a bridal shower. My bank account and I are already over it. And next year I'm sure it will be more weddings and baby showers!

Well since my relationship is at a complete stand-still, at least I can say my career is growing! I think my investigation is over for my TS clearance, or should be wrapping up soon. In total 7 people were interviewed (that I know of) and I think all went well. I think I'll know if  I got it in the next month or so. Yayy!!

Weekend Recap!!

This past weekend Adam and I went to my parents for a delicious filet mignon dinner. And then Saturday we went to Kevin and Kat's for the 1st Annual Meatfest. So not only did I eat steak friday night, but I then consumed massive amounts of ribs, beef brisket, and something called a bacon bomb. I felt ill. I even had a hard time jogging yesterday, so this week I"m not going to eat any meat. Yuck.

Well that's about it for now. This weekend I will be at Melissa and Josh's wedding and then a family photo shoot Sunday. So next week I'll hopefully have some good stuff to talk about! Oh and my brother gets into town this week!! Yayyy!

 Tootles!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Love is in the air!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone has a love filled day. I'm going to have a day filled with a Grammy's hangover and work, but Adam is coming over tonight to cook Beef Wellington's for me and I know they will be super delicious! He's my little Gordon Ramsey!

Anyway, nothing too exciting has been going on in the lives of Christina and Adam lately. We're just putsing along. Saturday we went to the Florida State Fair and met up with Kat, Kevin, and the kids. It was so much fun to watch the kids enjoying the fair. Makes me dream about the day when I can watch my little ones play at a fair. Sigh.

This weekend I believe that Adam, my cousin Shawn, and his fiance Chrissy are going camping. I'm pretty girly so it's hard for me to "rough it," but I am going to try my best. We are only going for one night so I think I can handle it. As long as it's not freezing like it was last time Adam and I went camping, because I literally thought I was going to DIE!

Well that's it for now! Have a lovely Valentine's Day!
